Casting

Marcus Charles

As a group we have decided to use me as the main character as I am the one who is working on the script, we therefore feel that I am more likely to have a greater understanding of the character. Furthermore if we were to use someone outside our group it would have been very difficult to materialise a shooting schedule, that would both suit our group and the actor. This is because a majority of the people we short listed for the part have A levels they are concentrating hard for or they were unable to be available at the times we wanted to shoot
Other people that were also considered for the part were Shola Stewart, Adeel Ikram and Nathan Jamason. Natahan wanted to be the camera man so it was physically impossible to use him anymore. Adeel couldn't play the role as he had to focus on his media group and we felt that it would be selfish of us to make his group suffer because of us. Finally shola said he wouldn't no if he would be available all the time as he is concentrating on his A levels and doesn't want any extra distractions.

Shop Keeper

We are currently waiting for the shop keeper of the local news agents to get back at us on whether he is going to be able to part take in our movie or whether or not we are going to have to leave that scene out or not. He has givin us permission to shoot outside his shop already and even if he is unable to act in our film we can easily make a few changes that wont affect the project that much.

Costume of Main Character (Michael Watson)

As a group we have chosen to make our main character wear black as it reflects the characters personality and the problems he is facing in his life. Black costumes nd outfits are often used to show someone has a dark side, and we feelusing thins colour shows how bleek his furtue is and he is living in darkness. This colour also gives little away about our character and shows how distant he is away from society.  We have chosen to give him the stereotypical dress code of a inner city london young male normally associated with crime and gangs. The reason for this being that people in gangs are normally rebels that have rejected what society wants them to do. I feel that our character has rejected society in terms of he doesn't like people and only goes to college beacue he is frightened of doing crime, which may lead to him going to prison.

Group Animatic

Currently, I am doing the groups animatic.
We are using the animatic as a mock-up for our final outcome. I have uploaded photos that I've taken of the storyboard onto iMovie, I then added each shot onto the timeline. This will help us see what changes need to be made. We plan to add a voice over and music to our animatic, to give us a clearer view of what the whole film, once completed with sound will look like.
